Financing Research
Financing Research:
Hi guys, welcome back to my blog. Today we were told to do some research about financing. Financing is important in the filmmaking industry because the production team needs funding to pay for every step of the filmmaking process. Although it is a difficult task it is achievable to find financing. Most films are financed through a combination of investors, tax credits, grants, and other sources.
These are the questions we're asked to answer:
How would a filmmaker convince a production company that their film is worth financing? Consider the business side of the industry. How would you "sell" your film and make back everyone's money?
These are some good questions so let's answer them.
What I Would Do:
So when you're trying to find your financing, you have to give a compelling speech. You have to convince them that your movie is worth their money and that it's a good investment. I would talk about the message that is behind our movie which is that there are many dangers in the world, especially when people have your personal information. This genre is popular and if people watch it and see the message or just, in general, think it is a good movie then it will be shared on social media. Social media platforms are able to spread news very fast so that is another way it could become successful. I would make the money back from merchandise and sales, but I'm only able to do that if I get the financial support in order to make it a hit.
