My Creative Critical Reflection

Image
Hi guys, so we are finally finishing everything with this process. This post will have the video to my creative critical reflection, of our opening scene "I See You." There is not much to talk about because everything is in the video, so below is my creative critical reflection video.

Sound in my opening scene

Image
Hi guys. today's post will be short as it will be talking about the sound in our film. I'm sorry but today's intro is a little shorter than usual because I want to get straight into it.  To keep it short our opening scene only has 3 sounds. 2 audios that will set the tone and the other being a camera taking a picture sound to make sure the viewers understand that a picture is being taken. Other than that, there is not really any sound. We did not film any of the sounds that are in our film. We used the sounds that were provided by our editor and the sound of the camera was from YouTube.   This is a pic of how the tracks with our sound looked like

Look, Feel, Sound

Hi guys, today's post will talk about how we want our film to come off as. How it will feel, sound, look, etc. I will also talk about how we will achieve this. There is a lot to be talked about so let's jump right into it.     Looks:   Our goal is to make our film look suspenseful, exciting, and mysterious. Our genre is mystery/thriller, so this was a bit obvious. We plan to achieve this we filmed. What I mean by this is that one of the first scenes shows a dead body. We want the viewers to think about how that person does and to get interested in knowing more about what happened. Then we show a flashback to explain what has happened. With the I see your text at the end we hope the viewers will become even more excited knowing the true story behind everything. Mise- en -scene helps with this because of the outfit she is wearing. The viewers might wonder what she did to die like that.     Feel:   We want the viewers to feel excited and get on the edge of their seats wonder

Actors for my movie

Image
Hi guys, today I will be talking about the actors in my film and how they affected the schedule of my group's film. So today's blog will be pretty short again, but let's jump right in. Main Actor: Sarah Alexander was the main actor in our group's film. (Btw that's ME) I was the main actor so I played the dead body and the girl in the flashback. In our film opening, you going to see my face all the time. The actor affected shooting schedules because without an actor in our film, my group could not film. If I was not there or I could not film that day then I could not film that day. For example, there was 1 day when I did not know we were set to film so I did not bring my costume, obviously, without my outfit, I could not act that day so we had to film the next day instead. Basically what I am saying is that you're going by the actor's schedule, and you have to make your own around that.  Sub-Actor: Jennifer Blandon was the sub- actor in our film. (A.K.A the

Setting Of My Film

Image
Hi everyone, this will be a short and simple blog post about the location(s) my group will be filming at and why we really chose it. The location or setting of the film is important because it can help create the scene. The location is a part of mise-en-scene in a film and it can help create tone, representation, etc. in a movie, especially with the use of props. So let's have a look at my location and why my group chose it. Behind our school! This was the location where all our shots were filmed, yes they were filmed in one place! Although we thought it was a bit risky to do so we did make it work. In our storyline a girl is walking home and gets murdered. We decided that she had been walking in an ally or behind a building and there is where she got murdered so it made sense that our flashback and dead body shots were in the same location. This location was actually behind the school which allowed us to get time during class to film all these shots. We did have the choice to fil

Distribution Company

Distribution Company: Distribution companies  A film distribution company is responsible for the marketing and distribution of your films to the public. Films can be distributed through theatrical, video on demand (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, etc.), DVD, and new media. Without distribution, your film will be a flop because no one will know about it. Now I will talk about the distribution company I think is best for my film, if it was a real movie I was going to put out in the industry.     Paramount Pictures:   I believe that Paramount Pictures will be the best distributor for my company. This company is a part of the big 6 so whatever is released will already have people who would like to watch it. Due to it being a big company I feel that when distributed more people are likely to give the movie a chance and see what t's about. Paramount pictures are also known to release many mystery films, in fact, there is one movie released that we (my group) found was remarkably like our
