Look, Feel, Sound

Hi guys, today's post will talk about how we want our film to come off as. How it will feel, sound, look, etc. I will also talk about how we will achieve this. There is a lot to be talked about so let's jump right into it.

Looks:

Our goal is to make our film look suspenseful, exciting, and mysterious. Our genre is mystery/thriller, so this was a bit obvious. We plan to achieve this we filmed. What I mean by this is that one of the first scenes shows a dead body. We want the viewers to think about how that person does and to get interested in knowing more about what happened. Then we show a flashback to explain what has happened. With the I see your text at the end we hope the viewers will become even more excited knowing the true story behind everything. Mise-en-scene helps with this because of the outfit she is wearing. The viewers might wonder what she did to die like that.

Feel:

We want the viewers to feel excited and get on the edge of their seats wondering what is in store for them. We will use saturation and music to set the tone and mood of the film. Music will play the biggest role in this as well as mise-en-scene because the lighting really helps with this.

This is a comparison from before and after we changed the saturation.

Sound:

We want the sound to be a bit slow but also high-pitched. Usually, the sound is high-pitched and fast in movies of our genre, but our film is a bit different and slower-paced than the others. We can use stock sounds in our editing app. We used 2 different sounds called shocking news and serious situation.
